DraftCore + SIFDR overview
What SIFDR does today, where it stops, and — separately, in future tense — where DraftCore is heading.
Open Product Brief
What firms usually ask first.
SIFDR creates the reflected ceiling plan grid and cleans up existing RCPs. It does not populate them. That is the question firms ask first, so it is answered here rather than inside one of the panels below.
Is DraftCore replacing engineers?
No. SIFDR cleans up the drawing; your engineer reviews the result before it lands and keeps judgment and final responsibility. That is the design, not a caveat.
What is SIFDR?
SIFDR is the first DraftCore product. It cleans up the CAD baseplan on architect DWGs for MEP firms. It reads and writes DWG and DXF, it performs layer cleanup, duplicate reduction, and source quality review, it creates the reflected ceiling plan grid, it cleans up existing RCPs, and it returns baseplans with their reference points aligned so the drawings XREF together. It does not populate the RCP.
What file types does SIFDR read and write?
SIFDR reads and writes DWG and DXF. It also accepts PDFs that were exported from CAD and still carry their layer information, but PDF is an input only — scanned, photographed, or flattened PDFs will not work, and SIFDR does not return PDFs. SIFDR processes one plan per upload — one floor, one unit type — so multi-unit buildings are handled one unit at a time.
Is this just AI guessing at my drawing?
No. SIFDR is a deterministic CAD ruleset reinforced with AI. The rules came from actually working for MEP firms, and they govern the AI rather than the other way round. Your engineer stays in the loop throughout and can edit any step or result they disagree with.
Will SIFDR apply our firm’s layer and colour standards?
No. SIFDR does layer cleanup on the architect’s file — it does not apply your firm’s own layer or colour standards to the output. That is not a feature, in any tense, and we would rather say so than have you find out on a deadline.
Is pricing available?
Commercial pricing has not been published. Early access is one free month of SIFDR, the full product — no card up front, and nothing renews on its own. After the month we talk about what you saw and you decide whether to keep going.
